From the Director

“This section provides information on all 17 hazards that could affect our area. Please review this information thoroughly. It is more difficult to prepare for an emergency that you do not fully understand. The addition to the list of Tsunamis and Rogue Waves as hazards in our area is based on new research and should be carefully considered. We have also provided information on our Command Center’s activation levels and what that means as well as data on major disaster declarations in Alabama history, the National Response Plan and other information from FEMA”.
